Sclerotherapy, better known as Spider Vein Treatment, is a non-invasive procedure designed to improve the appearance of leg spider veins. The veins are injected with a solution that damages the internal lining of the vein, causing it to close. The solution works with your body to collapse the vein and, over time, it will disappear.

One of our experienced, well-trained nurses will cleanse your skin and inject the sclerotherapy solution directly into the vein with mild discomfort. Our patients report that the treatment is virtually pain-free! The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the size and number of veins being treated during a session.

Anticipated Recovery & Results

Sclerotherapy generally does not require any recovery period, so you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately after treatment. We do recommend avoiding strenuous leg exercises, excessive sun exposure, and hot tubs or hot baths for about 5–10 days to achieve the best results. After your appointment, you will need to wear support stockings for 5–7 days (they do not need to be worn at night).
