KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Everyone's chin profile is different, so your clinician will tailor* treatment to you. The number of treatment sessions will vary based on the amount of fat under the chin and your treatment goals. You should expect to be in the office for about an hour.

Anticipated Recovery & Results

After your treatment, you can get back to your day right away. There is usually no recovery time with treatments. You may encounter some temporary symptoms, such as redness, pain, firmness, swelling, but these usually clear up within a few hours to a few days. Results are evident in 3-4 weeks and fully seen in 6 weeks after last treatment. Results may vary based on the individual.
